Another animation diploma program is coming to Okanagan College this fall. The diploma course will focus on 2D, computerized 2D and 3D animation technology, helping students develop imaginative creativity and programming skills.
The first group of students will start the program this September, completing in April 2019. The provincial government will give $250,000 to bolster the first year of the two-year program.
“There is a dynamic animation industry thriving in the Okanagan,” said Premier Christy Clark, MLA for Westside-Kelowna. “This certificate program is an initial move towards an incredible profession in a developing field, both here at home or anyplace on the world.”
